Gordon graduated from the University of Exeter with an LLB in (Euro) (German), English, German and European Law, an LLM in European Legal Studies and a PhD in European Law. He is now working as Principal Counsel Competition for Siemens Energy in his home country of Germany. In this episode hear about Gordon’s experiences of studying and working in a different country, this includes how he came to complete a PhD, his varied career; including his experiences of working in private practice compared to in house, his transition from working in the UK to Germany and his general tips on studying and securing employment in the legal sector.

In this week’s episode Employability and Careers Consultant Sarah Blunt talks with Dan Hartley, Department for Education Adviser for the Get Into Teaching service, and Luke Graham, Lecturer in Education at the University of Exeter. In the first half of the episode, Dan shares what skills he thinks are needed to be a good teacher, entry routes into teaching and progression opportunities available after qualifying. In the second half, Luke talks about the PGCE offering at the University of Exeter and shares his advice on how applicants can choose the right course for them.
